Which Hardware do I need for my Sign Post?

Without sign posts, our streets would be far more dangerous. Sign posts are the crucial standpoint of traffic safety. There are multiple different variants of sign points that we typically see on the road in our daily commute. These range from Galvanized U Channel Posts to Square Tubular posts. The differences between posts vary based on which type of sign you are trying to attach and the quantity of signs you would like attached. If you would like to read more on the different types of posts and their intended use, then please click here.

Understanding which hardware that is associated with each post is complicated. All we know is we need a Sign, a sign post and the hardware to attach the sign onto the post and that is it. Most of us are not experts in the field and just need the hardware immediately along with the post. This article will try to make the process less complex for you.

For Galvanized U Channel Posts, the standard associated hardware includes:

5/16” x 2 ¼” Steel Hex Bolt

5/16” Steel Nut

Each set of standard hardware is rather inexpensive and will not put a dent on your pocket.
